Some of you know that I work as a temp-staff in one of the hospitals in Singapore, but none of you know the frustrations.

Because I still chose to smile and forget the anger.



But here's some situations I can't forget.

• When I asked for the visitor's phone number, Visitor told me that she has no phone. When I told her that she can't go up because there's too many people, I gave her a name of a person upstairs, and she..............TOOK OUT HER PHONE, WA LAO!!!

• When I asked for the visitor's IC, She said "Don't have", So I asked for passport or any ID,She said "Don't have", ok.....So I asked for patient name, She said "Don't know", ok............So I asked for ward number, She said "Don't know"............So.....What am I suppose to do?!

Funny isn't it? and there's cases whereby the visitor came to the wrong hospital....

This tragic accident took place in Beirut the second week of June 2009. I know because I was standing there the day after this accident happened. I was told that two teenage boys were showing off their diving/jumping skills or lack thereof while passersby were walking as usual in the afternoon on the seaside promenade of Beirut called "Manara" across the boulevard from the American University of Beirut (AUB).

I was told that the teenager and his buddy had jumped a few times that day. His friend made a safe dive but this teenager slipped as he was about to jump. One has to sprint away from the railing in order to land away from the stone ledge on the bottom where fishermen usually fish. I was told the day after this accident took place that a phone video of the tragic accident surfaced in Beirut and was being forwarded from one cell phone to another. The teenager filmed in this clip slipped and ended up hitting his head on the stone ledge below from a height of over 40 feet.

It was a very sad and tragic accident. I was told that the teenager s face was split in half validated by the second part of the video clip. So for LiveLeakers dismissing the validity of these two clips, if you do not speak, understand Arabic or the Lebanese dialect spoken by the ER staff, you are wrong, this two-part clip is not of two different people, one tanned and one pale white as some have commented but of the same teenager is.

As I mentioned, the first clip was shot in the afternoon (where more than likely using a Nokia phone which takes darker videos in the afternoon) at the "Manara" boulevard in Beirut by a teenage girl who was heard in the clip saying: Quote - Oh my God! Oh my God! Someone call the Civil Defense - End of Quote. The civil defense is an emergency rescue organization made up of volunteers, similar to the Red Cross. The second cell phone video was shot in the bright-lit ER at the American University Hospital (AUH) less than a quarter mile away. I am not sure though whether it is the same teenage girl who shot the first clip of the accident.

This is going to sound absurd to most of those living in the "developing nations" but it is quite common for family, friends of wounded or dead patients, and even hospital staff to sneak in a cell phone to the ER and record on their cell phones such clips evidenced by similar cell phone videos of grave wounds I have seen in the ER rooms in Gaza, Lebanon, Iraq and other war-torn land in the Middle East. The American University Hospital (AUH) in Beirut is one of the top three hospitals there with American medical standards and ethics; however, rules are not always as tight when it comes to turning on the video camera of a cell phone. Hard for most to comprehend but that's the way things are.

Both parts of the video clip are of the same teenager. I was told that he was taken to the ER where all the surgeons were able to do is stitch his deep and severe wounds. The staff tried to keep him alive in intensive care but he died two days later. The city did install a while back barbwires to discourage young men from jumping from the top of the railings and risking injury or death but young men continue to jump as they see this activity as a fun challenge. There have been similar accidents there as a result of carelessness and ignorance by the swimmers, teenagers and even men in their twenties.

One day after this accident took place, I saw teenagers climb on the metal railing and stand between the barb wires to jump in ten foot deep water with blocks of concrete/rocks the size of minivans intended to break the high waves were less than 5 ft away from where the teenage boys were landing. May he rest in peace.

Anyways I wonder if he is still alive, will he have a split personality? hahhaha

Apparently 5 out of 6 people here are idiots.


I have a personal solution, And I strongly suggest everyone to follow it.

it's simple.

1. Exit by the side, make sure you're in the way someone who is trying to squeeze in by the side.
2. Keep blocking them till they give way.
3. Shout at them "Excuse me, are you blind?".
4. Challenge them.

Trust me, it works, they will give way, and some will even apologise. Even muscled people gives way to me, In fact I'll rather make a scene than to give them a way in before I'm out.

This is what I do on purpose, I find it fun and educational, *Heh* Simply because it's so annoying when no one gives way to people alighting! and I mean no one! You can see from the picture!

Especially when the train is already packed! People still push their way in.

One day someone would probably quarrel with me, and I'm already guessing I'll win if we were to head to court one day.

PEOPLE, FOLLOW THY YONGWEI'S PATH AND YOU SHALT FIND THY WAY!




Oh yes, I do have friends who does the same thing as me, All too had the same results as me, Everyone gives way if this method is used. People who can't wait 5seconds for people to alight should be dealt with!

Haha, apparently one of my reader is a STOMPer. by the way Azurah was referring to this article I posted on my blog. hahaha by the way I didn't mention OLD!!!! it's a 30+year old man!!! gosh gosh gosh

Today I did the most special thing, Ever.

Making whole story short, in the afternoon during my work shift, I was walking around, I noticed this man, standing around, seemed lost.

I asked him if he needed any help, He asked me for a nearby coffeeshop cause he wanted to have lunch, then I noticed that his actually a blind man.

I sort of "ditched" my job position, and helped this blind man find direction to the hospital canteen, slowly, and having a short chat with him.

I helped him settled down, and asked him what he wished to eat, "Kopi, and bread"-He said.

I told him to sit and wait for me, as I order, of course I dared not to ask him to pay, and obviously, I treated him to a meal, a complete stranger.



Do you know how frigging awesome it feels? To help a stranger, and even treated him to a tea-break meal, You should really try and do something like this, it really will make you feel uber good about yourself.

Wanna know what my reward is?
A pat on the back and "Good job" from my IC, she saw everything. ahhhhhh *shy*

Everytime someone gets lost, and can't find the only lift operating to control the H1N1 epidemic, I had to give directions this way.

english should be taught because it's a universal language and it could be used to communicate with the rest of the world
On my trip to Malaysia back in march, I did mention that some service staff, couldn't understand what I'm saying, even though it's, just plain normal simple english.

Also Malaysia=Some Boleh racial discriminations, come on, Even monkeys got over it faster than You. I suggest coming over to Singapore to pursue your SPM(O levels), You might sound weirder, have a weird name, but at least we're open to all.

in 2004 we had only infrared.
in 2009 the HTC Magic has Bluetooth, Wifi, and most importantly, GPS.

in 2004 we had only VGA cameras, or no cameras at all.
in 2009 the HTC Magic has 3.2 MP camera, and most importantly Auto-focus.

in 2004 we had only lame games(but was quite fun back then =D )

From the way I see, it seemed corrupted in China, just not long ago a young super rich street racer killed a man while racing on the road. And if you know what "punishment was given? $200k as compensation, Just how much does one's life is worth?

And please people, that is why you should really not drink and drive.

My dental was unexpectedly super cheap today.

Wanna know why? My left cheek was accidentally cut'd while the dentist was getting rid of some cavities that I had on my one of my left tooths.

I told the dentist "it's ok, accidents do happen".

but anyways I was still given this incredible discount =D and yup, the cavity was continued to be removed even after this deep cut.

I'm ok now =)
