Remember the Great Singapore Blackout back in 2004?

I was actually stuck in a lift, yes, just like this guy.



But I was stuck for only 30mins,

What happened was, I was visiting my grandma, Who lives on the 6th floor, and in older HDB estates, the lifts only stop at 3points, in the whole building, So if lets say

you're getting to the 7th floor, but the lift stops only at 6th and 12th floors, you'll have to take the stairs after getting off.

My lift was reaching the 6th floor, literally, just a 20cm distance away(I can see cause there's a window), the power went out, the lift stopped, around 5 or 10seconds later, the lights came back on, but the ventilators did not, I guess the emergency back up batteries are only lined up to power up lights.

After a while, the lift started to descent itself, really slowly, I mean really slowly, At least the emergency power is working, and at least I'm moving downwards slowly.

It did came to my mind whether if it's not the emergency power bringing me to ground level, but my weight instead, I was afterall already 120kg back then in primary 6.

Oh well, after like, 20mins or so, I reached the ground level, the lift door opened, there was a man who thought I got stuck in the lift waiting for me at ground level.

The whole street was pitch dark, not just street, I meant the whole area.

I want to start anew

It's time I start everything and start once again.
I just opened and read every single sticky notes in my mac, An app I use countless times to write songs.

Well, When I write a song, I think it's awesome, but after awhile, I just think it's crap, it's music without life.

Maybe I should restart everything, every song I've written, get back my inspirations, or whatever.

F89k, maybe I should the give up, easier, right? Maybe I'm just too stressed out now, O levels exams are around the corner already.

There goes STOMP making another careless mistake....

Like I mentioned many times, Horrible editors, lack of common senses.

Finding my long lost cousin.

I never knew this guy is actually my relative, I swear I don't know at all.
Before I talk about this guy, Let me talk about how it all began.



I don't like to name my relatives, so, it all begins with

Church, I first attended church by myself when I was 13, little did I knew, that some guy, I've talked, walked past, said Hi, is actually my cousin, yes, we never met for 7 years, and we have totally no idea that we're actually cousins.
(Ok maybe I made that up, I think, but we did walk pass each other many times)

and this guy, I shall name him Edwin, we became sort of acquaintances, till our aunts, which is our mums, met up and talked about how both of us goes to church.

they were like "eh Edwin go church now you know? the one at this place"
"EH! yongwei also go to a church around there!"
and blah blah blah

and this Edwin and me, we only found out that we're cousins only 6months later.


Amazing isn't it?



And a few days ago through Facebook, I actually found out Edwin has a brother(Which is that guy above)

I never knew that Edwin has a brother, Justin.

Now I'm like "Holly sheet, I found out i have another cousin!!"


Oh by the way, just in case you don't know, I've no longer attended church services since many months ago.

Directing my first music video

Not my song though, What happened was that someone emailed me and asked me if I could help make a music video dedicated to her girlfriend.

So I took up the challenge, to be frank, I had never did a 5minute video before, It was really tough, considering the only tech I own is

1)Vado HD
2)Macbook

to work with videos, moreover, HD videos are a heck of a problem, they lag a lot, take up a hell lot of disk space while editing, and some times i had to delete away some programs to make space for the HD videos I'm editing.

A list of problems I faced

• Not enough battery
• Sakae Sushi's Manager's stares (Yes, one of the time lapse video was shot outside a Sakae Sushi outlet, I bet my filming worried the manager)
• Stares from public.
• Location and timing
• Hard Disk spaces
• and worst, I had only 3days to finish song recording, video recording, and compile it all together.

I only gotten 1000dollars this month.

which to be even franker.

480dollars will be used for tuition.
200dollars+/- for recording devices, So that I can show you guys better videos basically.
I'm only left with 300Dollars, and that's for shopping.

I am sooooo poor. I really am.

Changing my EZ-Link Card.

Just in case you have no idea what I'm talking about.

Ez-Link cards - Radio-wave cards that you use for taking public transport, it's a prepaid card.
The new Ez-link CEPAS card - Cards that has more uses which I don't need.


it's a bloody long queue to change the card on the last day(Wednesday was the last day to change the cards for free)



30mins have gone by, and I'm still queuing .


I decided to be naughty and not move in the queue, 2 NYP students with a "Fuck" occupying 25% of their vocabulary started to ask me to move forward, surprisingly not mentioning "Fuck" to me.



Thanks SBS, SMRT, or whoever's in-charge of this whole EZ-link operation for not informing me that I need to surrender my old precious card with my photo, I rather pay 23dollars to activate it without surrendering.

But too late, before I could save the card, it's already gotten activated.
