Singapore Dance Delight Vol.1

Together with F&N, omy.sg organised a blogging challenge, in conjunction with the F&N's Singapore Dance Delight (http://www.dancedelight.sg), Where 28 team of Dancers will be competing for a chance to represent Singapore in Japan's Dance Delight.

6 bloggers are competing for a 3D3N Osaka trip to cover the finals in Japan, with accommodation and Dance Delight tickets provided, worth over S$2800. And also all 6 bloggers would be receiving a HTC Touch II phone for our efforts, FTW!

I needed a new phone anyways!

Anyways me and Cheryl are both selected to be part of the 6, So we kinda......TEAMED UP, HAHAHAHA, EH OMY CAN RIGHT? =P

By the way Cheryl was was crowned as Singapore's Top Youth Blogger back in 2008 in Singapore Blog Awards.

Some Quickies Facts!1!

• The winner of Singapore Dance Delight Vol. 1 will represent Singapore in Dance Delight Volume 17 in Osaka, on 21 August 2010.
• Singapore Dance Delight Vol.1 is proudly presented by F&N Fun Flavours and produced by O School.
• This is the first time such a prestigious international dance competition will be brought to our shores.
• This competition is for street dancers of all sorts – ranging from New/Old school Hip-Hop, Break Dancing, Popping-Locking, Soul, Krumping, Waacking, Punking to name a few.
• Judging the inaugural Singapore Dance Delight Vol. 1 will be a panel of street dance veterans from both Japan and Singapore in the search of the best street dancers to represent Singapore at Dance Delight Vol. 17 in Osaka, Japan.
• Interested participants must form a group of 2 to 8 dancers and choreograph a 3-minute routine at the Preliminaries. Once through to the Finals, the teams will present another dance routine of 5 minutes for the panel of judges. They will be judged on their technical abilities, showmanship, musicality, originality and professionalism.
• Dance Delight Volume 17 is the 17th installment of the international street dance competition created by Mitsuhiro Harada a.k.a Machine. Since 1994, the slickest and most dynamic street dancers from all over the world bring their best moves to battle with other dancers in Osaka.
• The event attracts audiences of up to 10,000 each year and to win the competition is considered an exemplary mark of glory for any street dancer. In the past, participating countries include France, United States, Taiwan, China, South Korea and now Singapore.

Oh man, I am so wanting to watch this!

Winning Singapore 4D lottery

Lately I feel, like, luck is looking for me.

My first church group's number was N248

My first debit card has a number 248 behind.

on chinese new year, a roadshow God of Fortune gave me an Ang Bao with numbers inside for lottery, 0248.

the past 3weeks , I've actually won 4D, both numbers, 0248, I won 10dollars each only.

Last night, A car nearly sort of kinda nearly accident with me, the plate number was........


you've guess it, 0248, I was shocked the moment I saw this number, I'm an Atheist, I still can't believe this is happening, must be mother nature.

My O level exam results, a little late for you guys to know

I've been given 36points out of 45 for my examinations, Don't be fooled by the numbers, It's actually the best if the number is low.


I have no idea how the heck I've managed to get a D7 for almost everything. But for Accounts I knew I would fail, I had no idea what it is since I started learning in secondary 3(9th grade)


I mean really, How in the world would I be failing engrish?

I've been pretty much, extremely depressed these 2 months, even now, I feel so pathetic, So lousy of myself. I almost "thought" of suicide and just forgetting about my results. I even spent almost 1.5k on drinks, alcohols, bars, restaurants, and F$8k, I've even picked up smoking, not regular smoking though.

"But YongWei, why not pursue a private diploma course?"

I've tried, but CMPB says that if I wish to pursue private course, It must commence before birthday if not, I would not be granted deferment from National Service, Since my birthday was on the 19th of february, Most courses haven't started yet.

The earliest course I've found was from MDIS, but it starts on 22nd, and my birthday would had past 3days, So yeah, I was pretty screwed. I had to choose to either serve my country for 2years and risk loosing interest in studies in this period, or choose to study somewhere else, Such as ITE............a government aided school, or something, then I'll get deferment.

You've guessed it, the school I've been bragging about not going, That the school is full is bengs and lians or sort of, I'll be in ITE Macpherson.

The Vxx courses are from ITE, available for me.


But anyways, It's not too bad I suppose, Considering that getting a "Higher Nitec" cert from ITE, would get me into a polytechnic in the future, Moreover I'll be resitting for my O levels exams.

The Lovely Bones(2009) movie review

Thanks to Alvin from Omy for tickets to catch the preview on tuesday(16th march), Gotten my Facebook Sister to go with me, lol.





Some meal before the movie at a Japanese "Restaurant", I forgot what's the shop called, but, what sucks isn't the food, the food is great by the way.

The way the whole restaurant operates suck, you are actually not waited to a table, you have to order and pay first, and then find a friggin seat, which is very limited, and wait for your food.

Before the movie started. I'm growing pimples!



Anyways about the movie, It starts off with Susie(Picture), getting bluffed by a pedophile into an underground den he built.



Harvey(the pedophile), then rapes and kills Susie.
The movie goes on about how Susie, instead of going to heaven, she was "stuck" in the "in-between", because that she hadn't let go of Earth completely, she chose to stick to watch her family members.

At some scenes of the movie where it was "disturbing", Shih Qian grabbed and hug my hand, HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAH. Eventually the both of us was laughing at scenes that was meant to be scary.

*spoiler alert*
Even though the pedophile died at the end, his death was a little too quick, considering that he took less than 15seconds to die, He slipped off a cliff, hit his head on some rocks(which probably killed him instantly).

Since the pedophile killed so many girls, I was a little disappointed when his death lasted only 15seconds, I wish he was tortured instead.

This movie could had been better if not for the ending , 2.5/5.

Maybe our Education sector could look into the question on whether "Singapore is a developed country".

Some teachers tell me that Singapore is developed, some tell me we're still a developing country,
