Dear OCBC bank of Singapore Part 2

Anyways I'm surprised, The OCBC people are really quick to respond to my blog post.




They resent me the package for the internet banking service, This time double tape sealed with an additional envelope, Double security.


I've opened it, and the strap looks so much better this time, this must be the original strap.



But yes, the problem is still there, the tape on the actual package is still not sticking, I was still able to flip it open very easily, I thought I could have time tearing the cut-lines this time, but the whole thing just opened by itself.


A few possible reasons I can think of.

1. The package paper, Maybe the type of paper used is leaving micro-particles on the sticky tape, therefore unable to stick completely.
2. The weather, Maybe it's the warmer weather they made the sticky tape less sticky.
3. Not enough tape.

They actually told me that if I never blogged about this, they wouldn't had known about this issue, And they're actually working with the supplier to resolve this issue.

NeoGroup: The Wine Mansion - Bloggers Wine Tasting Session

Remember I blogged about Neogroup's Orange Clove the other time? This time the NeoGroup people invited me for a drink at The Wine Mansion

So many choices! I have absolutely no idea where to start.




The wine guy teaching us about the wines being served, how to enjoy, how to appreciate, how to drink, and how to swallow.





I must say this is the first time I've truly drank wine the way it should be, it's a good experience, I've always sort of gulped the entire thousands of times I've drank before.
I would had never really enjoyed wine ever if not for this session.


The main ingredient in these wine is the Moscato(Muscat) grape.




Anyways food is served! I love the way they presented the food, very well themed and professional. By the way the cater is Orange Clove

I won a bottle of wine in their lucky draw! very very coincidentally, Aaron also won one, the organisers was also shocked by how coincidental it was, both winners from same group, and side by side.

Anyways I've also bought another bottle, This is my favorite among the 4 wines we tasted.


One final glass of red wine before we made our move.



I've haven't gotten such a good sleep for a long time.....ha, I had a hangover by the way!

YongWei Does Something Episode 6: Smoke Quitting

I'm quitting, I'm quitting and I'm quitting.

I know my close friends know I've said that for like, months. But I'll do it for realz this time.

Apparently the guys from HPB(Health Promotion Board) spotted it, And decided to invite me to be one of the ambassadors for "The Great Audio Experience" by Breathe.sg

Dear OCBC bank of Singapore

on 19th of May 2010, I've opened a Passbook Savings account from the Hougang Branch.

A few reasons,

1. I needed to save.
2. I needed to store money somewhere to buy a house in the future for me and my future wife.
   
3. And the promises of a free cake and birthday cheer from your service staffs according to one of your commercials I saw on TV. (which also you have given to others too, Click here(1) Click here(2) Click here(3) and Click here(4) to read about it.)
   

Rest assured, I will be there at the Hougang branch to collect my birthday cake and enjoy a birthday cheer on my birthday every year.

I also applied for your internet banking services, which would bring me conveniences if I were to do a monetary transactions online.


But....

The internet banking package you have sent me was not sealed.


The sticky tape wasn't enough to seal the package! Pardon me for my itchy fingers for tearing the dotted parts, even though it was a not-properly-sealed package.


And yet you promised me "Double the security. Double the assurance."!



I would wish to get a brand new one, I just really don't see how hard is it to just, Seal a package.

I refuse to use this, It could had been duplicated by a hacker whom might have taken a look in my package. And I'm worried because of this hacker, My money that is invested in OCBC could be jeopardized .

Also the device's strap that came together with the package, seems to be a pirated one, the printing looks very smudged, and it looks like there's blood stains too. I don't believe the original strap would look smudged, It should look professionally printed just like the Passbook's OCBC bank logo.



Could this package been in the hands of a murderer?(It looks like some blood stains on the strap given) Maybe a hacker cum murderer is trying to send me a message through this not-properly-sealed package that he/she is going to kill me and take all my money away! Oh wait, Maybe the murderer stole the original professionally printed strap too!


And again OCBC, I am a very busy man, I have full-time school, and a weekend job to secure, I simply do not have any time.

I couldn't find any emails that I can forward this issue to, and my phone currently have a faulty keyboard, resulting that I will not be able to contact OCBC through the hotlines. And there is not one Branch that is in my convenience to approach.

I have great respect for such people, they were the ones who built the nation where I live, Singapore.

I'm a post 90s person, I've never experienced poverty, as a Singapore born kiddo, My parents had carried my school bag back when I was in kindergarten and Primary school, Yes I'm pampered, Just like any other typical Singapore kids born after the 90s.

I guess this is one of the reasons why we have a "strawberry" young generation now.

But anyways, To all you younger generation people(including me)
Don't take the country for granted, I know many of you who love to spend and splurge, Curse and swear for no reason.

But haven't you guys thought, that what if these founding fathers never existed, what if this government never existed, What will we be of today? Why is it that disciplinary is taught as part of your education in school?

I know many that like to complain "Why police that, why police this", stuff like screening and raids, I'm guessing that you're just not getting it.

People are vulnerable, So what if the police screens you or raid a bar for drugs or anything, Why are you complaining? It is a good thing that a raid or screening is taking place.

The police checks for drugs, and weapons, possibly a dangerous suspect on the run or stuff.

This protects us as normal citizens, I do hang out at bars sometimes just for a drink, I wouldn't like it if someone drugs my sister.

My point is, Don't be a strawberry,

Work hard, Be a man. (Erm, include females, yeah)
You're a Male by birth, but only a Man by choice.
This is your country, my country, Singapore.

Don't Start smoking Part2

I've stayed smoke-free for over 15hours before lighting up another cig.
My hunger for some cig grew pretty strong, I became really moody, And felt a little sick initially.
Right now, I'm feeling pretty sick, I've gotten

• Very painful gastric pain(Pretty sure it's one of the side effects of quitting)
• Flu
• Cough, with green phlegm.

I've already cut down to a cigarette a day, 2 if really necessary, I used to smoke 1 in the morning before school, 1 in the afternoon, and 1 before I sleep.

I figured that I could cut by skipping the morning cig, So yeah, I'm only smoking every afternoon and night time, But mostly only night times, Which means I'll be pretty moody, and quieter than usual in the day time.

Do bare with me you guys, I'm quitting right here!

Donating Blood for the first time!

Pretty nervous donating for the first time, Very stressed out.


There was a donation drive held in my school, And since I'm legal to donate on my own, I had a go! I was one of the only 3 or 4 out of my entire course donating.

Blood donation is damn fun, Actually, Painless, Now I kinda regretted shouting/Screaming like a 14year old girl.

And no worries, I've checked with the MO(Medical Officer) if smokers can donate, the MO said it's fine.

I felt pretty faint, easily tired after donating, My hands get numb easily and legs get really tired walking up just 1 level. But! I had the most vivid and awesome dream the night after I donated, I asked Kumar, He said he too had a very amazing dream!

I dreamed that my crush, was standing at my apartment's lift lobby, while the world was ending, civil war everywhere, fire burning, she shouted at me "WHEN WILL YOU EVER BE MY BOYFRIEND". and soon I woke up.

So anyways, Please donate too!
