ITE Penang Trip Day 1 of 5
Arrive at Tampines ITE College for pick up to Malaysia, Penang. for the period between 22nd to 26th June 2010
We were suppose to report by 7:30am, We reached liked 6:45am, I wasn't able to sleep the whole night, I was excited, It's my first time traveling in a long time.
Kumar and Dicky, My classmates.
7:45am, We were getting really excited.
Saying goodbye to our beloved city, Singapore, while on the way to Tuas customs.
Our very funny and friendly tour guide, Margaret .
On the highways of Malaysia, full of palm plantations, one of Malaysia's main source of income.
Putting on our iPods, the trip was really long and stretchy, Malaysia is a very big country compared to Singapore.
I'm so glad I had brought along many of my gadgets.
Arriving in Yong Peng, a pit stop popular among bus couches traveling between Singapore and Malaysian states.
Me and Kumar couldn't resist getting a Ramly burger, popular among Singaporeans and Malaysians.
Burger made on the spot.
Delicious!
After a few more hours on the bus, Oh wait, did I mention the bus ride there takes approximately 12 to 15hours? and we have like 80 people on the couches, hence the extra pit stops for low-storage bladders.
Around 2pm, we arrived at the Tiara Melaka country club for lunch at their restaurant, Court Royale chiense Restaurant.
Some delicious food served.
Dicky with his vegetarian meal, awwwww, he looked so happy.
Back to the long bus ride, Lots of mountainous views.
Beautiful
Something you don't get to see in Singapore.
Somebody got so tired he slept on my shoulder.
Finally, another pit stop, Posing with our bus.
Vintage cars seems pretty common in Malaysia.
Some common warnings in public restrooms, aka R&Rs(Rest & Restaurant), lots of R&Rs along the highway.
After a few more hours on the bus, It was already night time, and we've barely reached Penang island.
Having some fun in the bus.
The first Singam gang recruitment.
I was sooo damn bored! The trip is just too long!
Yazid, another joker on the bus.
Dinner time! It was almost 9pm, we were really tired from the long ass-sore-ride. Couldn't recall which restaurant was this.
Some delicious Chinese-Thai dishes.
Softshell crab.
Another satisfying vegetarian meal for Dicky.
and with another long bus ride, It was already 11pm, We finally reached Sunway Hotel in Georgetown in Penang.
What a relief for our asses.
Everybody glad we've reached.
My hotel room and access card, Kumar was my roommate, College life rocks!
Oh yeah, We were just in time to catch a football match, remember it was the World Cup 2010 period?
enjoying a cup noodle before calling it a day.

I've applied for the OCBC Yes card, However hor, My one more special.
It's the OCBC YES PICTURE CARD, If I'm not wrong, only 20 had been issued to selected bloggers, Now you know another reason why you should start blogging! Mine's been approved and will be reaching me in a few days time!
Silver forced me to take this photo with her.
I also joined the Yes! Card Challenge as CCBmedia. Thanks for all the votes and support!
So anyways, If I were to be given $8000 to spend finish in a day on the card, I would totally do the following...
- Take the bus down to town.(A dollar probably?)
- Enjoy breakfast in a fancy restaurant with the CCBs of CCBmedia (Chao Chee Buddies).(budget $300) I was thinking about going to Private Affairs, But I'll refuse to pay.
- Head to an Apple store to get my long-dreamed iMac customised to my liking($4500)
- buy a new HD camera with lights, So We could actually finish the video($2800)
- And spend the remaining few hundred at Universal Studios Singapore with the CCBs
Sounds like a fun day hor?
However, With a condition that I bring nothing but my ID, Yes Card, and phone.
You must be wondering how the FIRETRUCK (this is the only word I could think of that stars with an F and ends with a UCK) am I going to pay for purchases the whole day?
Good thing about it is that it's a/an
- EZ-Link card(Tap to pay for bus/train fares)
- Visa card
- Nets card
- CashCardl(for ERP)
- And some others such as spreading butter around bread
Anyways, Check out more about the OCBC Yes! Card here!
