SPI TV - The 13 Cells(Part 2)

Some weeks ago I was invited to be a guest in the filmming of a SPI TV episode, in quest to investigate the paranormal activities in Singapore by IZ with the SPI team.

You can watch the episode which I'm in through this link

Some of the props by the crew of 13Cells. Oh yeah, the old CID building is opened to the public, find out more at 13cells website.

I took a brave walk around alone while the team was setting up deep at the end of the corridors, and shot some photos of the places, Of course, I am afraid, but not fearful, I really wouldn't mind talking to a ghost one day, just talk and find out which religion is right, kinda, ya.

Some of the really old circuits

I guess CIDs were the first in Singapore to use LAN cables?

So many orbs around in the suspect-round up room, are orbs souls or simply dust?

By the way, it is a pitch dark places inside, no lights, no heat, it's rather cool inside, all I had was my LED torch light. It's a really dusty and damp place.

If it's really dusty, I am still wondering why this enclosed visitation room doesn't have any orbs.

The entrance to the cells

Again, another flashed photo of the pitch dark cells.

I walked into one of the cells, just like the other cells, the toilets have been sealed.

Took a short break and walked outside, this photo facing the entrance of the building, so many orbs! dust? or SOULS.

Observing the team setting up.
I think that's my camera strap.

I just couldn't recreate the strap effect again leh, maybe it's a ghost!

at this moment, one of the members showed me a polaroid photo he took at another level, where he was alone, at the end of the corridor, it seems like someone is peaking a look at him, creepy!

I took a photo of this polaroid in complete darkness, hence the blurred quality.

We were focusing on the isolation room, which is so-called the most ghostly room there.

inside.

So many orbs!

(IZ sitting inside while I snapped), while Noel was in there, oh yes, Noel, is the Tattooed blogger, just saying, things creepy happened while he was in there, but it wasn't recorded, hence it wasn't included in the episode.

What happened was that, the live-screen went crazy, with lots of static, while at the same time, You could actually hear someone tapping on the mic, like a morse code of some sort.

Well, we moved on to other levels, at the top level.

Is that my finger or is it "Someone's" hand trying to touch Noel? if I had the habit of crossing my finger over the camera lens, I would had done it many times back.

Seems like someone's been here before us at this stair case area, another weird thing happened at this area, a camera was set up here, while we stayed far away, a black cat shape appeared on the stairs, while we went over, there was nothing. Not sure why it wasn't included in the episode.

And if you've noticed, the burned joss sticks didn't burn finish, hmmmmm, why?

Even in a highly ventilated corridor towards the toilet, orbs are still appearing, dust still?

Can dust orbs be so big?

Some of the old furniture abandoned there.

Creepy shit huh? I've got home like 5am in the morning, It just changed my entire prospect of supernatural things, Ghost definitely exist, good ghost, bad ghost, whatever. Still, you've gotta be respectful, ok kids?

Backstage: N.E.Mation 5

Bloggers went behind-the-scene of N.E.mation! 5

Me and a group of bloggers were invited by 24Seven to check out the makings of N.E.Mation 5,

Encouraged by the success of the five TD animation clips featured in the National Day Rally in 2006, Nexus has organised N.E.mation! since 2007 to provide a creative platform for students to express their personal ideas about Total Defence.

Students with no prior experience in animation were given training to equip themselves with skills to convert their stories into one-minute animation clips for public viewing and voting. The winners of the competition were determined by a combination of public voting and judging by a panel including industry professionals. The winning clips were then screened island-wide on free-to-air television and some were honoured at international film awards.

It's amazing how much animation work these students produced in such a short time(3 weeks to be exact), using only time after school till late nights at Nanyang Polytechnic.

I really liked one of the team's studio floor mat.

Lots of tedious digital renders.

The group went for a break while the animation renders.
N.E.Mation 5 Behind the scenes!

this year's theme being "Make it or break it", I think this has got to be the best, a cake in the shape of Singapore, and guess what kind of over is it baked with?

An oven with a fully customized panel, with switches numbered in years of Singapore's independence instead.
N.E.Mation 5 Behind the scenes!

Some of the weirdest materials and crafts, yes, these are made by some 14-15 year old boys.

The animations will be available to be viewed soon on TV islandwide, and I say, there are really some of the best works I've seen, Even more significant, these are done by students, most being 14 to 15year olds.
