DHL - DELIVERY HALFWAY LOST?

I've been waiting whole day today at home to await for my 15lb package that's coming from the States, at 2:31pm, it was handed to the courier who's suppose to deliver it to me.(Usually, in fact all the time, when it's with the courier, it's always delivered to me the same day.)

Screen Shot 2011-08-25 at 2.57.47 PM

Take a look at the earlier timestamp of the package's tracks at 9:18am, IT WAS MIS-SENT SOMEWHERE ELSE? Erm, Ok? At least it's still in Singapore right?
Screen Shot 2011-08-25 at 2.58.03 PM

I waited and waited anxiously, till a few minutes ago, I've gotten another notification from DHL......THE PACKAGE IS NOW BACK IN HONG KONG? WHAT THE.....(wait for it.....).........DUCK?!
Screen Shot 2011-08-25 at 7.17.47 PM

Even my package that originated from Hong Kong and delivered via standard air mail to SingPost was even faster than DHL.
Screen Shot 2011-08-25 at 7.23.31 PM

Gonna call DHL now......ARGH!

Starhub - Singapore's 1st Interactive Commercial + DOG GIVEAWAY

Remember Sparky the Starhub dog from like a decade ago?

According to Dog Years, this Sparky should be a senile old dog by now, I guess that's why he's "looking for love".
SHCM-B-043-11 6Sheet_path.ai

My favorite telco, Starhub, has came up with something really interesting, you get to interact with the commercials featuring Sparky from 26th August onwards(THAT'S IN 3DAYS TIME!)

All you have to go is go to your Android's Market, or Apple App store to download the "HUB IT!" App.
Screen Shot 2011-08-23 at 7.36.38 AM

Turn up your speakers(I noticed that the app's mini-games are visual and sound activated, in the video a super high pitch sound is played occasionally) And point the app's Fetch Reward to play.
(YES, YOU CAN INTERACT WITH THIS YOUTUBE TRAILER)

It should look like this, once the "Tap Now" button appears, TAP THE DOG!
Screen Shot 2011-08-23 at 7.37.07 AM

And mini-games such as "Tap the creepy guy on your phone" should appear.
Screen Shot 2011-08-23 at 7.36.58 AM

I've played one of the preview mini-games that's going on right now, and I'm top 2! Wonder what I'm winning.....
Screen Shot 2011-08-23 at 7.08.41 AM

And with the App, do look out for the Starhub posters all around Singapore, such as this, all 600 of them, each with different prizes to be won!
IMAG0495

All you gotta do is point the "Fetch Reward" function to the QR code. ( I've read through the instructions, any QR reader will do as well.
IMAG0497

And you'll get rewarded instantly! I GOT A FREE LIMITED EDITION TOTE BAG HOR.
Screen Shot 2011-08-23 at 7.35.03 AM

And for your convenience...*Ahem.....Ahem*, I've taken photo of the QR code and posted it here, take photo of this on my blog and get rewarded as well! I'll be collecting the QR codes as long as I see them! Probably all 600 of them!
IMAG0498

By the way, I have a Sparky that I wanna give away, if you want Sparky from me, Simply just comment here "I WANT THAT ___________ SPARKY", Most funny and creative answer wins. Remember to leave your email so I can contact you.

HTC Wildfire S vs HTC Wildfire review

A few months ago I've reviewed the HTC Wildfire, which was a pretty ...kinda a bad phone, it gave me problems like...

  • Graphical issues near the bottom
  • the 500Mhz processor couldn't handle graphic-intense games
To think about it, I think I did receive a faulty HTC Wildfire review unit.....

But now, I've just gotten a HTC Wildfire S from Starhub as a prize!
HTC Sensation photos

find out more about the contest on Starhub's android site! Click the "Why Starhub" for more contest info

My HTC Wildfire S(Currently used by my mum), approximately 30% smaller than my HTC Sensation
HTC Sensation photos

First boot up.
HTC Sensation photos

Again, kudos for HTC for coming up with the concave-shape design to prevent scratches on the surface(and yes, Corning's Gorilla Glass is used I think, cause it didn't scratch even with a key).
HTC Sensation photos

With the HTC Wildfire S' performance and user-friendliness of Androids, even my less-technological mum knows how to use it, ditching the useless Nokia phone!
IMAG0051

Even though it's just 100mhz more processing power than the HTC Wildfire, at 600mhz, I had a great surprise with it's performance, it's able to run heavy-graphic games and not lag! (Video of me playing a car race game, click here if you can't see it)

Even the 5mp camera with auto-focus and light, seems to be a little better than my Sony cybershot camera.
Screen shot 2011-08-01 at PM 11.18.44

No doubt about the HTC Wildfire S' camera capabilities for photos and videos. Photo of my HTC Sensation
IMAG0002

Oh yes, even spotted an uncle on the bus playing games with his HTC Wildfire S.
HTC Sensation photos

Overall
Pros
  • Good camera at 5mp
  • Runs Android
  • Able to run graphically-intense games smoothly, with just a 600mhz processor
  • Comes with free 2Gb microSD card
  • FLASH SUPPORT
  • HTC Sense
  • Very lady-phone, good as presents for ladies
  • Retail price at a approximately a dirt-cheap s$350/US$300), Free if you sign a contract with Starhub/Singtel/M1(I've always preferred Starhub)
  • Old people seems to get a hang of it.

Cons
  • Too small for my huge hands

All photos and video taken with HTC Wildfire S, and HTC Sensation
