When I was in the army(Demo) - Yong Wei

Photo on 20-8-12 at 2.35 PM

Here's another song I've written, inspired while I underwent Basic Military Training, featuring one of the SAF marching songs often sang by almost everyone in the mornings.

(Soundcloud direct link)

Original song by Yong Wei
Verse source: Somewhere from the corners of SAF, unknown.
Chorus: Yong Wei

Lyrics
In the early morning march
With my field pack on my back
With an aching in my heart
and my body full of sweat
I'm a long long way from home
and I miss my lover so
In the early morning march
when the cold wind blows
I know I know
You had to go
(so please)Hurry back home
Cause I miss you so
Chorus:
While I was in the army
you know I missed you dearly
Got my pillow to sleep
I wish you were beside me
You know my heart feel lonely
without you here beside me
Be my other half
I don't want to fall apart
Oh oh oh, when can I go
woah oh oh, two more years to go

My new ride - Raleigh Lahar 2.0

The Raleigh LAHAR 2.0, with almost identical specifications as the late Raleigh Diablo Pro, I purchased mine for about $420 along with some accessories.

Unfortunately, the front tire punctured just minutes before Jalan Kayu, I swear it has nothing to do with my weight......

Here's an old photo of my bicycle that got stolen a few months ago, please help me whack the rider if you see him/her.

All these years, I've been very enthusiastic with riding 2-wheelers, I'm even taking up Riding classes for a motorbike license, unfortunately slots are very limited and with my limited time out from national service, I think I might have to even forget about it for now.

I am usually a lone rider, cycling across the eastern region of Singapore, usually as far as Changi Airport. Usually no one believes my passion for cycling, simply because I'm overweight.(thanks ah)

Whether people believe it or not, it is still a personal hobby which I enjoy a lot, it also serves to me as something to look forward to every time I book out from camp. On another side note, quite some time back I even got mentioned by the Singapore Sports Council hor! Read it here!

There I was a few years ago at Singapore Sports Council at Kallang receiving my prizes! And yes, I cycled there.
Cycled to Singapore Sports Council

Nonetheless, drivers, do keep a lookout for cyclists, and cyclists, remember not to demand the right of way, your life is at stake. Most importantly, remember to enjoy your ride and ride safe!

Fabulous You Episode 1: The Audition

I was suppose to join this new reality TV show as invited by the director, part of a Lose Weight Feel Good program, but too bad, I had to enlist into the Singapore Armed Forces for 2 years as part of Singapore's conscription act, so no media programs for me planned anytime soon......

But hey, do read about my experience during my first 18days of BMT(Basic Military Training) here, it's not that bad after all! I've lost 8kg so far by the way!

Look Fabulous, Feel Fabulous and Be Fabulous! More than 100 people joined the audition held at Cathay Cineleisure Orchard to take part in our new web TV reality show Fabulous You hosted by Sabrina Wang with Mr Singapore Kevin Chiak, Miss Singapore Valentane Huang and local celeb Vincent Ng as our star judges. Fabulous You is brought to you by the Fabulous Group - http://fabulousgroup.com.sg/

By the way, the host is also a chio bu blogger, check her out here! http://www.sabrina.sg/

Little Pancakes @ Upper Thomson Road

Photos by Magdelene

Even though my "civilian social life" is quite limited now, that doesn't mean I can't have some fun outside.

After getting rejected from the Music and Drama Company because I couldn't dance, I had to cheer myself up, how about some little pancakes?

Here's Malcolm, and his girlfriend Magdelene(Chiobu blogger hor).
